Twitter Quick Start – Easily Follow 100 Virtualization Personalities On Twitter
Looking to quickly get started with Twitter and interested in following virtualization tweets? Eric Siebert has made it easy for you. His vsphere-land.com post New Twitter lists for the top bloggers and VMware/Virtualization people introduces 2 new TweepML lists he created that sign you up as a follower of 100 popular VMware & virtualization twitternames with the click of a button.
Siebert explains a little about his selection criteria for this group in his post:
“I did research a bit though to try and make sure the ones I included on the list did tweet often and that at least some of their tweets were VMware & virtualization related. I also did try and keep the list limited to actual people and not general types of twitter accounts that are used by companies and websites.”
Check out the full post at the link above, get your own Twitter account (if you don’t have one already), and then go to TweepML.org (also linked above) to quickly follow the virtualization group!
Next you will need a Twitter client to recieve all the tweets you signed up for! TechCrunch offers a great list of web clients in the post Tweeting from the Web? Nine Alternative Web Clients. The post has a feature comparison table and screen shots of several clients. Personally I’ve been using PeopleBrowsr a lot recently – not only for Twitter but for my Facebook updates in the same browser client too. I know most of the people I follow use Tweetdeck as a desktop client for Twitter, so I wanted to point out that application as well.
I am honored to be included in the 100 VMware and virtualization people group. Thanks again Eric!
