My name is Rich Brambley, and I am a Solutions Architect Manager for iVision.
Prior to iVision I was a Senior Systems Engineer in the South East Region for Veeam Software.
Prior to that I was an Infrastructure Consultant for Softchoice / Optimus Solutions.
In my career I have specialized in virtual infrastructure design and implementation with a recent emphasis on disaster recovery. My focus has been VMware’s solutions for the last 8 years, but my experience includes a smattering of Microsoft and Citrix virtualization technologies as well.
This blog started as my VMWorld 2007 notes. I decided that instead of using a notebook that I would eventually misplace (like the ones from other conferennces) I would try live blogging instead. This site grew out of that experiment!
VM /ETC has become my own knowledge base and more. I use it to document interesting and helpful information, analyze problems I experience, dump my thoughts and opinions, and even summarize my notes.
My other social media efforts:
My personal blog is etc.rbrambley.com.
I teamed up with Infosmack Productions briefly in 2010 to host a podcast, VIRTUMANIA
VMware awarded me vExpert status for 2009 and 2010 because of my contributions to the virtualization community.
The opinions and ideas published on this blog are my own and not the opinions of my employer or any of the vendors of the products discussed.
