FastSCP does a file copy while the VM is powered off. I&#039;ve never tried to copy thin VMs personally, but I would guess that as long as you copy to the same version of ESX the files would be utilized the same at the new location. All I can say is try it and let us all know. You could also check the Veeam.com forums for anyone else&#039;s experience there. 

In our fully licensed version of Veeam Backup and Replication, you will be able to replicate VMs as thin in the next release later this month.</description>

		<description>I guess using this on the ESXi 4.1 free, you need to shutdown the guest OS and do the backup in order to work...is there a way to schedule the guest os to shutdown and restart after backup?
