Special VMworld Hyper9 VMM Offer – Free Permanent License

Anyone who’s been to a 4 day technical conference knows there will most likely be at least one support call that forces you to remotely manage servers from the event. Even though admins bring wireless notebooks, everyone also knows that wifi access can be sketchy at best at conferences as large as VMworld. As a virtual machine remote administration alternative, Hyper9 VMM lets you manage your VMs from your mobile phone and therefore use your phone provider’s network. The good news is Hyper9 just announced a special deal for those going to San Francisco.

The deal is so good that some VI admins that have been unfortunate so far getting approval to attend VMworld might be able to justify the benefits of a free VMM license as a second try argument. Be creative. Who knows?  If you are still unsuccessful be sure to read the last paragraph of the offer below, but keep that as your “ace in the hole”. I am trying to get you there!

From Hyper9′s Communicator Email Newsletter I received today:

Concerned about keeping tabs on your virtual environment while at VMworld?  Hyper9 is here to help.

You may have already heard about Virtualization Mobile Manager (VMM), Hyper9′s Mobile Monitoring and Support product. If you haven’t tried it yet, now’s the time. That’s because we’re offering it for free to all VMworld attendees – allowing anyone at the show to manage up to 1000 VMs while they’re in San Francisco with us.

Use VMM to monitor host and VM performance statistics, control your VMs and take action – all from your mobile phone. VMM supports all major hypervisors and is accessible via a web browser or your iPhone, Blackberry, Android or Windows Mobile device.

But that’s not all. While you’re enjoying the free service, come by the Hyper9 booth for a demo of our latest Virtualization Optimization Suite and we’ll give you a free permanent license for VMM. Be one of the first 10 people to bring a friend to the booth, and you’ll even receive a limited edition Hyper9 t-shirt.

Get your Free License Key today: Email sales@hyper9.com or call 877-9HYPER9.

Not attending VMworld? No Problem.
VMM allows anyone to manage up to five VMs for free.  However, for a free permanent license to manage up to 1000 VMs, simply request a demo of  Hyper9′s Virtualization Optimization Suite by emailing sales@hyper9.com, calling us at 877-9HYPER9, or filling out the trial form. What can we say, we’re feeling generous

Check out my post from earlier this year detailing my installation steps and configuration notes for VMM

  • Tom, if you are going to be at VMworld in SF, just come by the Hyper9 booth #2420 to get a demo of VOS throughout the show. Anytime. If you aren't going to be able to make it to the show, please just contact sales at hyper9.com and schedule a demo with those guys. They will work with you. Depending on Q&A, the demo should be around 30 minutes or so. Best of luck! Hope to see you at the show.

The trial link doesn't seem to talk about VMM -- I would like to get the free/permanent version since I work for a small nonprofit and VMM could be handy someday. The trial form I see is for an optimization suite.
  • Tom,

Read the last paragraph of the offer. Hyper9 wants you to participate in a web demo of their Optimization Suite before they give you the VMM licenses. If you've never seen Hyper9's core product for monitoring VM performance and change control, it is worth your time. Free VMM for 1000 VMs is icing on the cake.

Ohhhhhhhhhh...now I understand...so I must sign up for the demo and then they will provide the VMM licenses??

Do you know offhand how long or often the demo is??

    Thank you, Tom

For some reason, when my mouse passes over various portions of the article above, some text lights up, the article disappears, and I get redirected to a blank web page that's trying to load something but stalls at a blank page, making it hard to read the article. I tried both Firefox and Safari, the same thing was happening in both...

Seems ike a nice offer.. Now if VMware would just give out a couple free permanent vSphere Enterprise+ licenses to VMworld attendees..... :)
  • Draco,

Got that fixed now - I think. Let me know if you still have issues. You may have to close and reopen browsers. I was trying out a new blogging tool called Zemanta that put a little too fancy html in my posts.

    Are you going to VMworld?
