Im still trying to get halo pc to work. It installed but says close debugger. Cant figger it out. Need help, this is my favorite game, and i love ubuntu..

Imagine how much easier this would be if MS had not forced DirectX (and now trying to force Games4Windows) on the world.

Good to hear you are now flying high with VirtualBox!

Be sure to update to VirtualBox 3.1.2 – just finished the upgrade and XP seems to be “snappier” on my Ubuntu box now. The release notes claim many fixes to improve stability as well, but I have not personally experienced any unstable issues at all.

Got it to work after reinstalling FSX and Acceleration Pack, and reinstalling Direct 3D support in safe mode (per instructions in the VB manual).

That helped get past the “Flight Simulator is not working with your video card..” error, but crashes after loading scenery and before about to fly.

I was able to get Microsoft FS X running on a Win 7 guest in VirtualBox 3.1.2 on an OpenSolaris 2009.06/dev host by following the instructions here.
