Thanks for &lt;br&gt;asking this question!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;TSO is not enabled on a vmkernel portgroup. It&#039;s enabled in the VMKernel &lt;br&gt;by default in ESX and if your pNIC has the capabilities the VMkernel &lt;br&gt;will utilize it. You enable a VM to start using those capabilities by &lt;br&gt;selecting the enhanced vmxnet adapter.  You do not need to have a &lt;br&gt;vkernel portgroup on a vSwitch for VMs to take advantage of TSO.</description>
