		<description>+1 for the time zone issue in /etc/sysconfig/clock&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;changed mine to ZONE=Europe/London (dont forget to remove the quotes) and it was then configurable from VC</description>

		<description>Recently I&#039;ve noticed that if you open the NTP client port in the ESX firewall first the NTP settings can be modified from the GUI more reliably. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I&#039;m really happy to see ESX4 NTP config as part of the installer though!</description>

		<description>Thanks a lot.&lt;br&gt;We have 13 identical servers in the same cluster, only 2 of them had this issue.&lt;br&gt;ZONE=”Etc/GMT+1&quot; changed to Europe/Brussels, restarted the NTP service and... bingo, problem solved!</description>

I have implemented at least half a dozen virtual infrastructure projects since I wrote this and I have had to use this process for at least 50% of the ESX hosts. Sometimes every third host in the same cluster needs to be manually changed.
