I guess it’s a combination of the VCDX being so new (are there even any yet?) and the fact that companies want to hire an experienced admin as opposed to a design specialist. Thus the VMware Engineer position.

hmm, I was quite curious about VCDX salary, so I entered the keyward “vcdx” and it gave me the result “$78,000″, even lower than VCP, does it make any sense? -_-”
