Updated VCP Salary Information from Indeed.com

I’ve previously posted about Indeed.com and the growing salaries for VCP and virtualization professionals, and I am revisiting this topic again with updated information as of 07.25.08 in this post. Back in April the average annual salary for a VCP was $78,000. It’s good to see this figure continue to grow!

The following screen shot shows a comparison of VCP related positions. Note that Indeed.com has positions posted for “VMware Engineer” which have a higher average annual salary than positions titled “VCP”.

Click the “View Larger Salary Graph” link just above this paragraph to go to this actual page and modify it for yourself.

Click the links below the Job Trends graph to use Indeed to find virtualization positions in your location!

I have also added these graphs and links to my INSANE page for quick future reference.

hmm, I was quite curious about VCDX salary, so I entered the keyward “vcdx” and it gave me the result “$78,000″, even lower than VCP, does it make any sense? -_-”

I guess it’s a combination of the VCDX being so new (are there even any yet?) and the fact that companies want to hire an experienced admin as opposed to a design specialist. Thus the VMware Engineer position.

I was really surprised to find listings for VCDX on dice.com while researching a blog article. At the time the exams hadn’t even went live yet.
