		<description>Carlo, Paul,

The Converter Enterprise for VC2.5 plugin did not allow me to split the source server&#039;s partitions into multiple .vmdks. We even downloaded the latest VC2.5 update 1 this week, so maybe that edition bundled with the install is still behind in features?

I did use the ColdClone CD too this week and did see the option to split the drives into multiple .vmdks there however. I&#039;m guessing the standalone version of Converter 3.03 is the same as the boot CD.

		<description>Hello

The newest release of VMware Converter allows you to separate logical physical drives into multiple VMDK files. It even allows you to put these VMDKs on different datastores.

http://www.vmware.com/support/converter/doc/releasenotes_conv303.html

Can convert individual volumes on a single physical disk from the source physical machine to separate and independent virtual disks across different datastores.

Hope this helps in the future.

Cheers

<description>I have always wondered what performance penalty (if any) you incur by choosing larger block sizes. I personally normally choose 2 MB since I don&#039;t envision drives larger than that.

I also HATE the fact the Converter combines the drives and doesn&#039;t allow you to keep multiple VMDK files for the server. PowerConvert by the way DOES.
