The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: my trip to San Francisco
Well, I made it to San Francisco last night. Here’s a summary of my trip:
The Good:
I watched Ocean’s Thirteen on the flight. I’ve enjoyed all of the “Oceans” movies so far and this one was good as well.
My Sprint Mobile Broadband Card – this is card worth every penny. (see “The Ugly” section for why)
The Bad:
It’s a 5 hour flight! Nothing is worse then rubbing elbows with the stranger next to you while the stranger in front of you reclines in your lap. C’mon airlines, either remove the reclining ability of seats and/or spread out the passengers. Go ahead, charge us another $50 per seat to make up the difference from the reduced number of seats per flight! We’ll all be happier in the end!
The Ugly:
Turns out I did not have a reservation at the San Francisco Marriott. My company made the reservations for me (supposedly) months ago. When they never sent me an itinerary with the hotel info on it I questioned it and was told that multiple rooms were under another employee’s name. My bad for never confirming directly with the hotel before arriving. I had to scramble at the SFO airport baggage claim to find a hotel and rental car for the week.
Good thing I had the Sprint Broadband card. I was able to sit down and get to the internet right at the airport!
So, I am staying at the Fairfield Inn in Hayward, CA on the Oakland side of the Bay. I think I will get to cross the Golden Gate Bridge this morning on the way to the Moscone Center!
